President and CEO of Working Mother Media, Carol Evans, is a hero to working mothers across the globe, proving that women can pursue their passions while raising children effectively.
Carol Evans’ involvement with Working Mother started 1979 when she sold advertising for the test issue. She continued with the company for ten years working her way up from national sales director to advertising director and finally to publisher until 1989. During her time with Working Mother, she also founded the Working Mother 100 Best Companies in 1986, an important initiative showcasing family friendly employers.
After leaving Working Mother, Carol ran two publishing companies. She was President of Stagebill, and Chief Operating Officer of The Chief Executive Group. In August 2001 she returned to her roots & founded Working Mother Media where She currently serves as chief executive officer and president and has launched several more key initiatives including Best Companies for Multicultural Women and Best Law Firms for Women. She continues to champion for women in the workplace & speaks often about barriers facing women of color and work/life balance.
